This little Photoshop tutorial is intended to show how to create a simple logo place it on an image and how to set Photoshop up so you can quickly apply it over and over again.

Very helpful.. however, how can you change the color of your logo instead of being black? like, once you have your logo completed, placed in one photograph and you open the original logo to make some changes, how do you change the black for white for instance?

that would be saturation/hue, and mess around with it... it works for me...

Sure ya can. Just double click right in the solid color icon in the layers panel and it will bring up the color picker allowing you to change the color

Once again yet another fantastic tutorial from your corner of the web! I'll be favouriting this one for sure so that I can come back and reference it as I need it (I have a horrible memory).

I always enjoy listening to your tutes too, because you just have such a lovely manner (and I must admit I love your accent! I'm Australian so it's quite exotic to me, hehe).

Please keep them coming!

I love your laugh :D

There's so many useful things in this tutorial, especially little shortcuts I didn't know about like trim and layer->type->shape, and especially the place method with linked updates. I take it the editing smart objects works the same in CS2? (ie editing it in another window and it updating where it's placed)

With actions, do you know how it calculates where to place it on different resolution images? Eg, does it caculate it from the top and left sides (so on a larger image the action would place it closer to the middle) or from the nearest side (eg right and bottom). And the same with resizing, does it resize it to a ratio or the same dimensions as on the recording?

I guess I could try to test it, but I'm really no good with actions yet ^^;

Thanks for any answers you can give :smooch: And thanks for the great tutorial!

It will compensate for image automatically but using the method I showed you there will need to be a separate action for both land scape and portrait oriented images.
